Conventional dry kilns

Conventional dry kiln

Advantages

  • :
  • The kiln chambers with a capacity of 25 — 200 m3
  • Fully automatic control
  • Specially cast aluminum ventilators are reversible, engines designed for heavy duty
  • Possibility for side and front loading
  • Building options: all aluminum, aluminum frame with stainless steel interior panels
  • Precise temperature and humidity control

Our timber drying kilns are enabled to dry all sort of timber and provide optimum drying conditions for all lumber grades and markets. Our conventional kiln buildings are very well insulated and are absolutely vapor tight. A modern computer controls the whole process and according to the need of the client drying programs could be customized or some new programs could be added.

We also suggest only interior equipment for drying kiln. Our customer use already exist platforms to set drying kilns or build it according to our design. We could help you to build up modern kiln without thermal bridge, with good heat insulation, good mechanical strength.

We use conventional method: the air in the kiln is heated and circulates through the stacked lumber by the fans. The air will slowly rise in relative humidity and temperature. When the desired temperature and relative humidity is reached, depending on the kind of lumber you dry, the computer will open the modulating ventilation system. An amount of hot wet air will be vented to the outside. The same amount of fresh outside air will enter the kiln, this air is heated and is also able to absorb moisture from the lumber again.

In this way, the relative humidity and moisture content of the lumber will be reduced till the desired moisture content in the lumber is reached. According this timber will be free of internal stress, hogging and cracks.

Air circulation

  • Reversible fans set up on the top above false ceiling. Blades are made of aluminum; angle of blades is adjustable. Motors works at 90°C and 100% of moisture. We can also produce high-temperature motors till 120°C.

Heating system

  • Heat — transfer is hot water, superheated water or steam. Heat exchangers are made out of bimetallic pipes: stainless steel or copper with aluminum finning. Heat exchangers are supplied with connective collectors with flanges for further connection to external hydraulic system.

Moistering

  • Include brass sprayer and system of stainless steel or copper pipes.

Ventilation
aluminum chokes with electric drive move off moisture air and provide kiln with fresh air.

Condensation dry kiln

1. Compressor
2. Condenser
3. Evaporator dehumidifier
4. Main fan
5. Auxiliary heating element
6. Outside sir intake dampers
7. Drying chamber
8. Wet air ejection dampers
Induction air
10. Chamber circulating fans
11. Humidification
12. Auxiliary fan

Drying process includes four phases. They are:
1. Heating by thermo compressor
2. Drying with condensation and air replacement
3. Recuperation of hidden heat
4. Cooling

Thermo compressor systems are more economical and productive than convectional because that systems concentrate warm air and use it all.

The air in the kiln is heated and circulated through the lumber by fans in the Kiln ceiling. When the air reaches a desired temperature, an electronic delayed action relay will activate the compressor. Then the unit, responding to the relative humidity setting, begins to remove water. Water condenses on a special evaporator coil and drains out of the kiln. Stainless steel components are used when moisture condenses, insuring reliability and a long life. All of the heat from condensation is recovers and recycled through the unit by fans which continually pull air across the coils, helping to maintain a high temperature.
